Celebrate Recovery of Sarasota Baptist Church

Are you struggling? You're not alone.

What is Celebrate Recovery?

You may be thinking that recovery is just for people with alcohol or drug problems. The truth is that many of us have created unhealthy methods for dealing with life. Regardless of your struggle, whether it’s emotional, relational, financial, spiritual or sexual, Celebrate Recovery teaches us to make the healing choices that will help us become the people God created us to be.

Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Christ-centered 12 Step Program were we find freedom and healing from life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups through the only true higher power Christ Jesus. Celebrate Recovery is confidential and a safe environment that helps us deal with big issues like recovery from alcohol, drugs and sex/pornography addiction.  As well as everyday issues like abandonment, grief, codependency, divorce, eating disorders, anger, resentment and abuse.

When and where does Celebrate Recovery meet?

Celebrate Recovery is not currently meeting at Sarasota Baptist Church.  The program is available at three other churches in our area; First Church of the Nazarene, South Shore Community Church, and Suncoast Community Church.  Go to celebraterecovery.com and click on Find a Group to get specific information on these groups.

What should I expect at Celebrate Recovery?

Fellowship, growth, recovery, healing and the freedom to become what God created you to be.
There is a large group time of praise/worship and then a testimony or a lesson on one of many recovery principles.
After the large group meeting there are both men's and women's Open Share (small) groups and are specific to each persons issue and struggle.
The 12 step study small groups will meet on a separate night of the week.

Additional struggle specific groups will be added as leadership is identified.
