Who are we?

We are worship leaders who work as a team to lead our church in worship. We strive for musical excellence and lives that reflect Christ's character.

Our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by drawing them into authentic worship and encouraging them to make worshiping Jesus Christ a priority in their lives.

Our purpose is to support and enhance the worship experience by developing and using the gifts, skills, and creative abilities given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Desire is to celebrate God's presence in worship and to support the ministry of Sarasota Baptist Church through the creative arts.

Ministry Opportunities

Celebration Choir - Proctor Road Campus

The Celebration Choir leads in worship during services at the Proctor Road Campus.

Rehearsals begin Sunday, January 16^th

· Rehearsal Times: Sunday's 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

· Location: Worship Center Choir Room (may occasionally move to the Chapel when needed)

Required: A love for God and a desire to lead others to worship Him through music. A commitment to attend the necessary rehearsals in order to serve most effectively.

Other Opportunities: Special Events, Mission Trips, Workshops, Sarasota Christmas, Conferences, Recording Sessions

Orchestra - Proctor Road Campus

The Celebration Orchestra plays in each service every Sunday

Begins, Sunday January 23

· Rehearsal Times: Sunday
Sunday's 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

· Location: Worship Center Stage or choir room

Every Sunday (January - April)
Additional rehearsals may be necessary for seasonal programs and special events

Required: Orchestra members are accepted by audition only. If you have not played for a while – you may attend rehearsals until you are comfortable playing with the group on a Sunday morning

Worship Team - Lakewood Ranch and Proctor Road

Worship Team Vocalists: help lead the congregation in a weekly time of worship at the Proctor Road and Lakewood Ranch worship services. At Proctor Road they also serve as lead singers in the celebration choir. These are singers who volunteer a great deal of time in rehearsals and personal preparation to help lead in our worship services.

Singers must go through an audition process and agree to the commitment necessary to be a part of this team.Those who pass the audition and can make the necessary commitment then rehearse each week, both in regularly scheduled rehearsals and on their own.

If you've never sung before, or never in public on a mic in front of an audience, this is not the place to start. But if you have singing experience, we invite you to audition.

· Rehearsal Times: Wednesday’s from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

· Location: Worship Center Stage
