On the first Sunday night of every month, our students come and hang-out for some games and recreation time in the gym or in our student chapel. Students are encouraged to use these nights as an outreach opportunity to bring their unchurched friends to this fun time of fellowship where the gospel is also presented. Typical organized games that are played are volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, kickball, etc. Nights that will focus on one particular game or type of activity will be promoted in advance as such on our social media sites. Games & Rec Night lasts from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on the first Sunday night of the month.

Nuby Tuesday

Join us on select Tuesdays all summer for Nuby Tuesday. We’ll be having various hangout options that range from movies, bowling, ice skating and more - These activities are designed to build relationships for students who are new to our student ministry, and to be an opportunity for our regular members/attenders to bring friends who have never come to church. All students will be responsible to secure their own mode of transportation. We will be giving updated info for Nuby Tuesdays on Instagram and Facebook throughout the summer - Sarasotabsm.

August 22 FREE Event

Merge is our special weekend event for students entering the 6th grade and their parents. Realizing that the thought of moving up into the student ministry can be intimidating, we are excited to offer this opportunity to make transitioning into the student ministry not only very fun, but a meaningful and memorable spiritual marker in the life of families. By attending Merge, our goal is for every 6th grade student to feel confident and connected before they walk through the doors on promotion Sunday.

Merge consists of two parts: Friday evening - on our SBC campus. Saturday afternoon - two different pool parties for 6th graders and parents only (one for our guys, and another one for our girls). Merge - Belong. Begin. Become.

Saturday, August 29

This is our annual block-party event for all middle school and high school students as we celebrate the beginning of a new school year. You can expect lots of food, fun, prizes, music and our annual team dodgeball tournament. And, it’s al FREE.
